Our story
Why we started Iceland Beyond
Iceland Beyond was founded by a small group of local guides who wanted to share the Iceland they know — not the Iceland of crowded tourist buses and rushed itineraries.
We believe the best way to experience Iceland is slowly, with a knowledgeable guide, in a small group that feels like family by day three. Every tour we run is designed around that belief.
From the first enquiry to the last goodbye at the airport, we are with you every step of the way.

Iceland Beyond is owned by the Iceland Tourist Bureau (Ferðaskrifstofa Íslands ehf.). It operates as a specialised destination management company and tour operator brand within this larger, private parent organisation. The Iceland Tourist Bureau is one of the oldest and largest travel companies in the country, organising trips and charters since 1955.
Fully licensed by the Icelandic Tourist Board and bonded as an IATA travel agent.
