We stand by our photos and want everyone to get as much out of the photoshoot as possible. We have experienced guides with professional northern lights photography experience and you can see some of our photos in the photo section. We believe that having a dedicated person to the photography makes all of the difference on our tours, the photos are a big part of our memories and a souvenir we get from the experience.
Our journey will take us outside of the city limits away from as much light pollution as possible. The Northern Lights are harder to see from Reykjavík. The location will depend on the cloud coverage and activity each time. We try to keep it as short of a drive as possible and we might stop at several locations as the lights can be quite elusive and often it will be a waiting game for this beautiful phenomenon, which might be perfect while your guide sets up his camera for the free photo shoot of your group and you.. It is widely believed that the harsher the nights' frost, the brighter the color will be. When swaying overhead, the colors displayed are often greenish yellow, however, you may spot red, pink or even white lights. The tour of the Northern Light depends on the weather conditions and the clarity of the sky, consequently, the tour operator has an unreserved right to cancel the tour at any time. If this tour continues and you do not see the northern light, the tour operator will offer you another tour, at no extra cost. Ensure to pre-book your northern light tour in Iceland so you can enjoy the sight of the northern light on your first night in the city. It is important to note that the size of the group may grow if there are several night cancellations in a row due to poor weather. This is so because we continue to strive to ensure everyone enjoys the sight of the northern light, so we do our best so everyone can see it. A little note on the Northern Lights, they are fickle and elusive. They are very common in Iceland but alas cannot be promised by anyone, so in order to make sure that you get another chance to see them we will take you a second time if your first time out turned out to be only stargazing and hot chocolate. This re-use ticket is valid for two years after purchase. When successful with the Northern Lights, links with your photos will be sent to you within 48 hours, photo links go to the email address used for the booking.

The duration of this tour is between 3 to 4 hours. There will be a free pick-up from your hotel in the capital, and this will begin from 20:30. In Iceland, it is possible to experience all four seasons in just a day, so it is important for visitors to dress appropriately, including their walking shoes, waterproof and also dress in layers so they can fully enjoy their trip to the maximum.
